The Magician

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Arthur C. Clarke

Once upon a time, a curious dad named Jean-Paul Paoli embarked on a journey.
He wanted to create a machine that would tell children stories.

It was Covid time, so he had quite some time to explore.
But otherwise, he had nothing but GPT-2 and a dream.

So he took his first steps into the vast world of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Looked for suitable datasets, read some arXiv papers, trained some models.

The app, called HOMER, never really worked, turning his tales into a jumbled mess.
But he learned some AI magic, before the hype.

So Jean-Paul found a new home for his AI explorations: LinkedIn.
And a new hero: The Magician.

The Magician's formula: begin with the latest AI news or an experiment's outcome, then delve into perspectives on AI's evolving role in society and business.

This website serves as an archive for these AI adventures.

I am Jean-Paul, you can find more about me where these posts were originally published: LinkedIn.

PS: This is not a picture of myself, this is a distorted AI-avatar, unfortunate result of LORA training experiments.
